Middle Creek Snow Geese Migration

A number of migratory bird species pause for rest and food in the area around Middle Creek State Park near the end of winter each year.  The Snow Geese are the most prominent and they often number in the tens of thousands most days. It is estimated that as many as 100,000 birds will pass this way each season.  I made the drive late in the month of February of 2022 to try my hand at photographing birds.  I  wasn't disappointed because it definitely was a target rich environment.
When they all take flight it is an amazing sight!
